SECTION 1 - HERO

H1 - Autonomous mowing for Irish golf courses.

Silent night operation. Full-course coverage. From fairways to rough - managed automatically, so your greenkeeping team can focus on what machines can't do.

Trust bar: Trusted by Powerscourt, Ballybunion, Roganstown and facilities across Ireland. (confirm wording with Seamus)

SECTION 2 - THE GREENKEEPING CHALLENGE

H2 - The challenge every course manager knows.

Robotic mowing doesn't replace your greenkeeping team. It removes the hours they spend on repetitive mowing - and gives them back to the work that actually needs human judgement.

Labour costs & availability

Skilled greenkeepers are expensive and increasingly difficult to find. Tying them up on daily mowing is an inefficient use of your best people.

Less morning noise

Early mowing disturbs local residents and disrupts the course before golfers arrive. Machines that run silently through the night solve the problem entirely.

Consistency of cut

Manual mowing results vary with staff availability, fatigue and weather. Robotic mowers deliver the same cut quality every day, regardless of conditions.
SECTION 3 - ZONE COVERAGE & MACHINES

H3 - The right machine for every zone.

No single machine covers an entire golf course. The right configuration matches each machine to the specific demands of its zone - and manages all of them automatically.

H3 - Fairways & greens surrounds

FJD RCM01 — cylinder mower.
Scissor-cut precision over undulating fairways, with anti-scalping technology that protects the turf on uneven ground. Smart boundary trimming eliminates manual touch-ups along every edge. Quiet enough to run through the night - perfect fairways ready for morning tee-off, without waking a single resident.
  • Cylinder cut
  • Anti-scalp
  • Boundary trimming
  • Silent night operation

H3 - Semi-rough & rough

FJD RM21 - rough and semi-rough specialist.
Where GPS loses signal under dense tree canopies, the RM21 uses 3D LiDAR to navigate with the same accuracy. A rear 4-wheel design distributes weight across soft, wet ground — protecting the turf that rotary mowers on the same terrain would damage. Handles the zones that have traditionally required your most experienced operator.
  • 3D LiDAR navigation
  • Under-canopy accuracy
  • 4-wheel weight distribution
  • Wet terrain ready

H3 - Dew removal

FJD RM21 with dual-brush attachment

Eliminates morning rope-dragging entirely. The RM21 with its dual-brush attachment covers dew removal automatically - no staff deployment, no delays, no disease risk from a stressed cut.

  • Dual-brush attachment
  • Overnight automation
  • Eliminates rope-dragging
  • Reduces disease risk
SECTION 4 - THE GREENKEEPING CHALLENGE

H4 - SERIOUS TECHNOLOGY, NOT A GARDEN GADGET.

The question every course manager asks - usually quietly - is whether this is genuinely capable machinery or an oversized domestic mower. The short answer: the navigation systems in the FJD commercial range are the same class of technology used in autonomous agricultural and construction equipment.

H4 - 3D LiDAR navigation

LiDAR - Light Detection and Ranging - fires thousands of laser pulses per second to build a real-time 3D map of the surrounding terrain. Unlike GPS, it doesn't rely on satellite signal. Under dense tree canopies, in hollows, or anywhere signal is unreliable, the RM21 navigates with the same precision as it does on an open fairway. It knows exactly where it is because it's reading the physical environment around it - not waiting for a signal from space.

H4- GPS-RTK precision positioning

In open areas the RCM01 uses GPS-RTK - Real-Time Kinematic positioning - which achieves centimetre-level accuracy rather than the metre-level accuracy of standard GPS. The machine knows its position to within a few centimetres at all times. That's what makes consistent, straight mowing lines possible across the full width of a fairway, automatically, without drift.

H4 - One-time mapping, permanent intelligence

Each machine learns its operating zones once during initial setup. You define the boundaries, the no-go areas, the transitions between zones. After that, the machine operates autonomously within those parameters — no re-programming, no manual guidance. If the course layout changes, the map is updated. The machine adapts.

H4 - Full fleet visibility from one app

The FJD Landscaping App gives your greenkeeping team live visibility of every machine on the course — position, status, mowing progress, battery level, alerts. Schedules are set and adjusted from a tablet. If a machine stops for any reason — an obstacle, a low battery, an unexpected boundary - you get an alert immediately. Remote monitoring means no one has to walk the course at 3am to check progress.
SECTION 5 - ZONE COVERAGE & MACHINES

H5 - Championship results. No extra staff.

Case study — Ballybunion Golf Club
No single machine covers an entire golf course. The right configuration matches each machine to the specific demands of its zone - and manages all of them automatically.

SECTION 6 - THE COMMERCIAL CASE
The machines pay for themselves.
Robotic mowing is a capital investment. Here is what that investment delivers.
Labour saving

One machine replaces multiple greenkeeper hours per week on mowing tasks alone. Those hours go back to the work that needs human skill.

Consistent cut quality, every day.

STRI-comparable cut quality regardless of staff availability, weather or season. The standard your golfers expect - delivered automatically.

Return on investment

Most courses recover the full investment within 2–3 seasons through reduced labour costs alone. (Confirm with Seamus if a more specific figure is available.)

SECTION 7 - FAQ
Common questions

(FAQ Page schema applied to every Q&A. Answer-first format throughout.)

A: Yes. The FJD RM21 uses a 4-wheel rear design specifically to distribute weight and prevent turf damage on wet ground - a common condition on Irish courses. Both machines are designed for all-weather autonomous operation.

A: The FJD RM21 uses 3D LiDAR navigation rather than GPS, which means it operates accurately under dense tree canopies and in areas where satellite signal fails. This is one of its key advantages for parkland and woodland courses.

A: Yes. Both the RCM01 and RM21 are designed for unsupervised night operation. The RCM01 is specifically engineered for this - quiet enough to run through the night without disturbing nearby residents or guests, leaving fairways ready for morning tee-off.

A: It depends on the course layout, terrain and maintenance schedule. We carry out a full site assessment before recommending a configuration - most courses require a combination of machines across different zones. Contact us to discuss your course specifically.

A: RobotMower.ie is the Irish distributor for FJDynamics and Belrobotics. All installations include a care plan covering servicing, technical support and ongoing maintenance. You're not dealing with a remote supplier - we're based in Ireland and available when you need us.

SECTION 8 - ENQUIRY PROMPT
